Thank you for shopping with Shohin Shed Bonsai. We take great care in packaging and shipping our bonsai trees and products to ensure they arrive safely and in excellent condition.

Processing Times

Live Bonsai Trees & Plants

Live bonsai trees and other living plant materials typically require 1–3 business days for processing before shipment.

To help minimize transit time and reduce the risk of plants being held by carriers over the weekend, live plants are generally shipped on Mondays whenever possible. This helps ensure your tree arrives during the same week.

Orders placed later in the week may be held until the following shipping day to protect the health of the plant during transit.

Non-Living Products

Most non-living items, including pots, tools, supplies, and accessories, are processed within 1–3 business days.

Custom-made, personalized, or made-to-order items may require up to 5 business days for processing before shipment.

Shipping Methods

We ship using reputable carriers and select shipping services based on the size, weight, and destination of the order.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive tracking information when available.

Shipping Carrier & Service Selection

At checkout, customers may have the option to choose their preferred shipping carrier and shipping service level based on availability for their location.

Available options may include:

• Standard Shipping 
• Expedited Shipping
• Other carrier-specific services offered at checkout

Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are determined by the selected carrier and service level.

Please note that choosing an expedited shipping service affects the transit time provided by the carrier but does not guarantee faster order processing. Processing times outlined in this Shipping Policy still apply before an order is shipped.

While we will ship your order using the carrier and service selected at checkout, Shohin Shed Bonsai is not responsible for delays, missed delivery estimates, service interruptions, or other issues caused by the shipping carrier after the package has been accepted for shipment.

Customers selecting expedited shipping acknowledge that shipping charges are non-refundable once the package has been shipped, even if the carrier fails to meet its estimated delivery timeframe.

Shipping Delays

While we strive to ensure prompt delivery, Shohin Shed Bonsai is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather conditions, natural disasters, customs processing, holidays, labor disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Delivery dates provided by shipping carriers are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

No refunds or credits will be issued for delays that occur after an order has been handed over to the shipping carrier.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout.

Shohin Shed Bonsai is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Additional shipping charges may apply if a package must be re-shipped.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

• Your order number 
• A continuous video of the package being opened
• Clear photographs of the shipping box, packaging materials, and item
• A description of the damage

This documentation allows us to investigate the issue and file a claim with the shipping carrier when applicable.

Weather Considerations

Live bonsai trees and plants are affected by weather conditions during transit. Customers are encouraged to monitor local weather conditions before ordering.

Shohin Shed Bonsai reserves the right to delay shipment of live plants when extreme weather conditions could jeopardize the health and safety of the tree during transit.
